This is my drawing of the Buen Retiro Park in Centro Madrid, Spain. It shows some of the main tourist establishments within the city - columns, statues, staircases etc. As well as this, it is a good blend of nature and the city - you can see the greenery and natural features mixed with the urban elements (apartment complexes, fences, streetlights, shrubs, towers) which is another link to my 'Humans and the Environment' project.

As this is in the style of David Hockney, one of my key artist references in my personal investigation, it has a lower contrast and less detailed look than my usual pieces - I have used pen and coloured pencils to do it.
I thought that this would be a good idea as most of Hockney's most famous pieces are also based on water bodies, for instance;
In the end, I think I have met my 'Humans and the Environment' goal as the artwork I have produced has the elements of the effects of people on the outside world.
