MADRID Painting (Based on Charles Sheeler)

Here is my painting of Madrid, Spain based on the style of Charles Sheeler...
As you can see, I have used a great deal of colour here - the exact colours are greens, blues, orange, red, brown, pink and purple.

I used pink a lot, as when mixed with water it gives a grayish-urban appearance. I used it for the fence in the centre as well as some of the buildings in the background - giving them the appearance of 'smog', similar to that of Sheeler's pieces>

In addition, as you can see in the picture, I have also included lots of verticle lines and different shades of colours...

To do the lines I used a pen, but all of the colour and tone was done with paint.

I have more posts (based on the artists I have chosen in my personal investigation) coming up soon.
