Cambridge Contact Sheet

Here is my contact sheet of Cambridge, England which I took in July 2020 as part of my "Humans and the Environment' project.

I came here to visit family and I also ended up taking lots of photos and visiting different places…

I went to Cambridge, the university centre of the UK and Ely, a small cathedral city just north of Cambridge, near where I was staying.

Compared to my other contact sheets, this one is more historic - these cities have more 18th century architecture such as the Kings College in Cambridge and the Ely Cathedral.

At the same time, you can see how Cambridge is still up to date when it comes to what it offers - the third picture shows you Grand Arcade Shopping Centre, the largest shopping mall in the area and how it is modern and has high street brands as well as old-fashioned columns similar to the landmarks in Cambridge.

Ely is small, the second smallest city in England, but also has one of the largest cathedrals in Europe. It towers over the surrounding area, visible from miles away in the farmland surrounding it.

It is interesting to see how noticeable it is and also how a small city can be made to feel big, with large structures and green spaces.
