Now that I have completed my Personal Investigation, it is now time to begin my final piece - this includes initial ideas, planning and more.
To start with, my initial idea was to do a giant piece, based on the pictures I took in London - I have already done this, using watercolours and fine liner pens. The idea was to have this giant piece wrap around my bay and just do something similar to this for my final piece as well. However, I decided to go with a different approach, for Human's and the Environment - now, the piece will be virtualised.
I have recently been experimenting with different methods of "virtual reality" artwork, using some skills I learnt in "City in a Box", back in Year 12. I have ended up making two pieces - a simple box and a VR headset, both made of cardboard and photocopies of my London360 piece.
They also feature branding from my Fine Art class (the "T.W. Fine Art") branding on the sides of each piece.
Here is an idea of what the virtual experience will be like -
*To do this, I used photooxy.com to convert the photo I took of my art piece of panoramic London (the fine liner and watercolour, 3xA1 version) into a 360 degree image - I then downloaded this image to my iPhone and took a screen recording of the motion picture - and uploaded it here.
I am also going to add sound effects to the experience. (Keep in mind this isn't the actual final piece)
